Review: Paranormal Activity 2 (2010)

i just came back from that movie and ohh god it was a scary movie, even more than the first part, i really like the realistic in the movie and how they made everything looks real and the acting wow.

i don't want to be a spoiler and talk about the details but in this part they tell you what happened before the first part of the movie.

it was 11:30 pm at the avenues (very good time for a horror movie) and all of us in the cinema were about 15 people, some people left during the show they were scared i guess hehehe, i took out my shoes and hugged my legs while watching the movie :x

if you like horror movies you've gotta watch this movie, and specially in the cinema cause of the sound affect and all would be really great, in my opinion its better than "Quarantine"

The Social Network

yesterday i went to see the movie "The Social Network" in Al-Fanar, the cinema was kind of empty, we were about 15 persons i think, i like going out on week days.

any how watching this movie gave me things to think about, ideas and also gave me the idea that even if you're not rich you can be if you put your mind into and work hard in it, i'm not talking about a job or a stolen idea, i'm talking about you bring up something new something creative to this world.

many people have ideas and great once, but eather no one support them or someone calls their idea stupid that would really screw things up, i mean this guy worked so hard day and night and believed in what he was doing and now look at him, he owns a "website" that costs more then $25b and did it in no time, while stupid business men do it in 30 years :P haha maybe i call them stupid cause i'm jealous they're wealthy :P.

i'm not gonna let this pass me easily, i've got to do something about it.

Review: Testing Windows 7

In a successful attempt to correct the mistakes of Vista, Microsoft has put out a new operating system Windows 7 for a easier and more secure OS than Vista.

http://images.nirmaltv.com/images/Windows7Ultimate.png

I've downloaded Windows 7 the Arabic Version and English a week ago (yes i did, it's all over the net you can find it in any torrent site it's about 2.5 GB) and tested it and took a fast look at it, well it looks a lot like vista but with miner changes like the task bar

I'm an XP user what can i say I'm a classic man :P i don't like to change my OS that much it just make it difficult to me to adjust with it, so i'll just stick with my beloved XP tell it's proved that Windows 7 is really secured and not slow like vista.

now lets take a look at Windows 7 System Requirements

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Additional requirements to use certain features:

  • Internet access

  • Depending on resolution, video playback may require additional memory and advanced graphics hardware

  • For some Windows Media Center functionality a TV tuner and additional hardware may be required

  • Windows Touch and Tablet PCs require specific hardware

  • HomeGroup requires a network and PCs running Windows 7

  • DVD/CD authoring requires a compatible optical drive

  • BitLocker requires Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2

  • BitLocker To Go requires a USB flash drive

  • Windows XP Mode requires an additional 1 GB of RAM, an additional 15 GB of available hard disk space, and a processor capable of hardware virtualization with Intel VT or AMD-V turned on

  • Music and sound require audio output

you can also use Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor for a more detailed understanding of whether your PC can run Windows 7, Click Here.

The Full Version costs $319.99 while the Upgrade Version costs $219.99 as the official Microsoft site says Click Here, last time I've asked about it in Kuwait it was about 80 KD's but i don't know whats the price in the market nowadays.

Site: check fraud profile pictures

lately some people (males & females) been using un-famous good looking people pictures as their own pictures on their profiles and it's kind of a stupid thing to do, like some girls cut Kim Kardashian's body and post it and tell people to comment how good "her" body is, and people whom don't know Kim will fall for it.

anyways in this site when you post the link of any photo on your machine or on any link it will search all over the net for a photo that looks like it and show you the related links.

give it a try: http://www.tineyes.com

The Kingdom (2007)

When a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound and killes Americans working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) quickly assembles an elite team (Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman) and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing called "Abu Hamza".Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol -- and with the clock ticking on their five days -- the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts, who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms.Fleury's crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Colonel Al-Ghazi (Ashraf Barhoum), who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist cell bent on further destruction. With these unlikely allies sharing a propulsive commitment to crack the case, the team is led to the killer's front door in a blistering do-or-die confrontation. Now in a fight for their own lives, strangers united by one mission won't stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.

My Review:
it's a very good action movie, and maybe it's banned from Kuwait cause the Americans in the movie "discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter" or maybe cause they show how the terrorists attack and killed them i don't know, so in my opinion they stopped the movie cause it talks about something happened in Saudi Arabia and there's something about the opening of the movie that talks about Saudi Arabia,,, and the movie doesn't say anything about Islam nor insult it or anything, as shown in IMDB they didn't shot any thing in Saudi Arabia but they maneged to make every thing looks like as if they were there.

My Review:
well to be honest there's nothing new in the movie and they've used less blood, but i can't deny the action sights and fighting is cool, i love this series of resident evil i don't know why :P , it's just the same old resident evil with new story, it's entertaining if that's the word you're looking for,,,

Constantine (2005)

"Constantine" tells the story of irreverent supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back. When Constantine teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister (also played by Weisz), their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.
His "successful" suicide, which is considered a mortal sin in the eyes of God, has condemned him to be sent to hell upon his eventual death. To escape this fate, he has spent the rest of his life trying to win back God's favor by battling the forces of Hell, though his time on Earth will be brief; Constantine has smoked 30 cigarettes a day since he was 15, and is now dying of lung cancer. Because of the number of demons he has slain, Constantine knows that Lucifer harbors a specific, personal grudge against him.
Lucifer (Peter Stormare) defeats Gabriel (Tilda Swinton) who's angry at how humans can achieve salvation so easily, by simple repentance, wants Hell on Earth because, in her view, humans are truly noble and heroic when confronting adversity, Mammon the son of Satan want to betray his father and claim dominion over Earth,,,

Rush Hour 3 (2007)

The movie kicks off with an assassination attempt on a Chinese ambassador, as he plans to spill the beans on the ancient secrets of the Chinese Triads. Inspector Li (Jackie Chan) and Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) must team up again to bring down the Triads and keep a promise to the ambassador's daughter. The chase leads them from Los Angeles to Paris. Along the way, we have the expected comedy bits (the kung-fu dojo scene sticks out), Carter's motor-mouth and not much else.
the real run time for the movie is 90 minutes, while in Kuwait's theater it's less than 75 minutes there are a lot of cutting and when the movie end's they show you some scene that we didn't even see in the movie, the movie was funny and the same old kung-fu stuff but maybe if it wasn't for the cuts it would be much better movie

Surf's Up (2007)

Not just another penguin movie yup it's not, the story is about "Cody Maverick" who wants to be the best surfer and be like the best surfer ever "Big Z" who died while he was challenging "Tank Evans" at a surfing contest, "Cody" didn't give up his dream and kept on training till he got to the Penguin World Surfing Championship competition,,,

the movie was funny and it was better than the Simpson's who was something i didn't expected to be, and the graphics were great the sea was soooo real, in the movie there are 3 small penguins the way they talk is very funny, and at least the movie has a good story :x not like other movies, if you got small kids take them to the movie they'll like it :D .
